Arizona Receiver Commit Braylen Ross Announces Oklahoma State Offer

Eric Morris and his staff are trying to take advantage of the momentum gained for beating a Top 10 team.

Arizona receiver commit Braylen Ross announced that he had received an Oklahoma State offer on Tuesday. Listed at 6-foot-5, 205 pounds, Ross committed to the Wildcats in May over offers from Arizona State, Kansas State, Kentucky, Cal, TCU and others.

Ross plays at Crean Lutheran in California. Four games into his senior season, Ross has caught 38 passes for 515 yards and three touchdowns.

He’s listed as the No. 1,754 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2027 class, which lists him as the No. 223 receiver and the No. 162 player from California.

The Cowboys have a pair of receivers committed in their 2027 class at this point in Ake O’Neal (Argyle, Texas) and Cooper Hooker (Pryor).

OSU has sent out a ton of offers since upsetting Oregon on Saturday. Most of those have gone to players in the 2028 class, but Morris hasn’t abandoned the 2027 cycle, despite saying the transition in the coaching move has put them a bit behind for this current crop of seniors.

“Recruiting here, this is our first time, but it’s almost a year ahead always,” Morris said. “The majority of the last class, they now come on their official visits during the summer. I think for us to try to get back in on, maybe, some people in the ‘27 class once they see the product and see actually what we’re doing on the field, get in Stillwater, experience this game day atmosphere, that’ll be something. Also, we’ve got to continue to work on that next class, just because that’s kinda how the cycle has gotten. It’s almost a year early, just because kids are graduating early now and coming to school early. So, it’s kind of a double whammy.

“We’re a little bit behind in the ‘27 class, to be honest with you, and so we have a little bit of catch-up to do right now, which we’ll continue to do that and evaluate. We found some of our best players on senior eval film. Like, we’ve done that forever. … But we’re gonna have to kinda piece it together. But yes. Winning’s the best recruiting tool of all, and has been forever, will be forever. Obviously, there’s a financial aspect now that goes into the mix, as well. But winning counts.”
