Kick Time Announced for Oklahoma State’s Week 7 Trip to Houston
It’s a big platform for a big game.
The Cowboys’ trip to Houston could have Big 12 title implications at play, and it’ll happen under the lights on a national network.
The Big 12 on Monday released its kick times for Week 7, revealing that Oklahoma State’s game in Houston will start at 6:30 p.m. on FOX. Here’s the full schedule for that week (times are Central):
Cincinnati at West Virginia — 11 a.m. Saturday on TNT
Kansas at Kansas State 11 a.m. Saturday on FS1
Arizona State at Texas Tech — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on FOX
TCU at Baylor — 6 p.m. Saturday on FS1
Oklahoma State at Houston — 6:30 p.m. Saturday on FOX
Notre Dame at BYU — 6:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC
Utah at Colorado — 9:15 p.m. Saturday on ESPN or ESPN2
This’ll be the Cowboys’ third primetime game of the season, most recently going to Morgantown and beating West Virginia 41-24. The Cowboys also thumped Murray State 59-0 on Sept. 19.
It’ll also be the Cougars’ third evening kick of the year and second on FOX. Houston throttled Southern 77-6 on Sept. 12 before losing to Texas Tech 28-26 (on a Friday) on FOX.
Houston travels to Kansas State this weekend. The Cougars are 4-1 this season after beating UCF 27-17 this past weekend.
The Cowboys will host those Knights this weekend while coming off a bye.
The Cougars boast a high-powered attack. They average 41 points a game, which is second in the Big 12 behind only Utah. Houston’s 483.2 yards a game sits fourth in the league, a stat OSU (548.3) leads the Big 12 in by some margin.
In five games, Houston QB Conner Weigman has thrown for 1,186 yards, 11 touchdowns and only one interception. That yardage total ranks fourth in the league, a spot behind OSU’s Drew Mestemaker. In four games, Mestemaker has thrown for 1,271 yards, 11 touchdowns and five picks.
