The Morning Fade – 12.27.10
Berry Tramel on Blackmon and Broyles going pro – Great assessment by Tramel on the pros, cons, and challenges facing each player. A must-read for any OSU fan.
Chatmon on the next Justin Blackmon – “Blackmon showed signs of his game-breaking ability as a redshirt freshman, making clutch catches against Texas A&M and Colorado. Harrison is doing the same during his redshirt freshman campaign, making a key touchdown catch in OSU’s road win at Kansas State when Blackmon was suspended for one game. And now, he’s starting to resemble Blackmon in another way: With his focus, commitment and desire.”
Haisten on a pair of guys gutting out the season – I guess I didn’t realize the severity of Jarka’s injury. It says a lot when you have guys like Blackmon and Jarka dragging their legs all over the field to play in games.
Kendall Hunter interview – I don’t think this girl is used to Hunter’s 4-word answers, the look on her face after his first response is hilarious. Also, I’ve never thought of Jeezy as “a motivational speaker.” Whenever Jeezy is bumpin’ on my iPod, I don’t usually think “hmmm….he’s pretty much the same as John Maxwell and Jim Collins.”
Dr. Saturday runs down the plays of the year – I would include this even if Shaun Lewis and Broderick Brown weren’t #7. I can’t argue with that ranking because most of the plays ahead of it were game-changers, if not game-winners. Except the Boise one. Too soon? By the way #10 is crazy, the guy looks like he’s in fast-forward the whole time.
Andy Staples doing it live on the Ohio St. suspensions – Staples is becoming a weekly must-read for me along with Mandel, Simmons, and Whitlock…
