Here is what OSU throwback uniforms MIGHT look like
1980, 1983, 1988, or 1992 — which ones do you like best?
Ed. note: I asked my uniform Photoshop specialist Chris Knox to see if he could whip up some options for what the throwback uniforms OSU might wear on Thursday might look like.
That’s a lot of mights but Knox did a tremendous job re-creating what a nod to yesteryear might look like. Here’s his take on a few different years with my commentary.
1980

I would weep. My gosh. If this is what OSU rolls out in on Thursday evening as a nod to 1980 I will lose it. The three stripes, the black and white helmet, all of it. Bring it on.
1983

Pretty similar to 1980 but I like the three stripes of 1980 a little bit better.
1988

These are good, not great. I would prefer a white-orange-white look if this is what OSU decides to go with.
1992

Another fantastic look and a nod to the three wins we posted from 1990-1998 (or something like that). I wouldn’t mind seeing these pants full time.
