Tom Herman Flips Jordan Sterns’ Brother to Texas
Tom Herman might not turn Texas around, but he’s laying waste on the recruiting trail right now. Herman flipped Jordan Sterns’ brother Caden recently to add to his collection that features former OU commit (and No. 7 pro-style QB in the 2018 class, Cameron Rising).
Sterns is the No. 4 safety in the country according to 247 and the No. 5 player in the state of Texas. The Sterns commitment pushes Texas ahead of Oklahoma State in the Big 12 recruiting rankings and gives them an edge in average player ranking over OU.

Oklahoma State was never really in the running for little Sterns who was previously committed to LSU, but it would have been a lot better if he was manning centerfield in Baton Rouge rather than Austin.
“I took a visit to Texas on Saturday and I went in closed-minded,” Sterns said recently to Gridiron Now. “I wasn’t going to brush it off, but I had my mind made up with LSU and knew how loyal I was to LSU. But I left the visit with my eyes open. It came down to who made me feel like a priority and not just another recruit.”
Then Herman happened. After collecting three five-stars and a four-star at Houston (!) in the 2016 class to absolutely destroy everyone else in the AAC, Herman is working his magic in Austin.
“It was crazy because I had my mind made up on LSU and I’m very stubborn; once I have my mind made up I don’t change,” Sterns added. “But when I went to that Texas visit, it just opened my eyes in every aspect.”
?
I’m worried.
It might take a while, but it feels like Texas is about to get great again … quickly.
