Gundy goes shirtless

Homecoming and hoops happened last night, and things got weird. Really, really weird.

Heck, I would too if I was 50 and had better washboard abs than my starting QB.

Spencer making defensive fixes

One of the many issues on defense through 5 games has been the penalty-prone Pokes — specifically in the secondary. Spencer says it’s an area that’s been addressed with OSU’s young corners.

“It’s a fine line,” Spencer said. “We definitely worked on it with them to show them where the timing of their hits needs to be with where the ball is at.

“It’s very subjective. You watch tape, and there’s guys battling hand-on-hand and the call’s not made, and other times it is, so we try to teach proper timing, getting your head around and searching for the ball.” [NewsOK]

Baylor dyes the fountain green

Last time an opponent dyed the fountain, it did not end well. But it seems one Baylor fan is willing to risk it all for a good laugh, which, in turn, gave us this incredible one-liner from John Helsley.

Seriously? Baylor’s only had football fans, other than the early bird Luby’s crowd, for about 15 minutes. Once before someone tried such a stunt, fans of Missouri State — Missouri State! — and their team took a three-touchdown beating for showing up. None of this, combined with Rudolph’s revenge motive, bodes well for the Bears. [NewsOK]

I love it all. College football is fantastic.
