Clemson Grad Transfer Adrian Baker, OSU Mutually Part Ways
Highly-touted graduate transfer cornerback Adrian Baker is no longer with the OSU football program. Mike Gundy announced at his weekly press conference on Monday that Baker and Oklahoma State mutually agreed to part ways.
One news item: CB Adrian Baker is no longer with #OKState (wasn't there Sat.). Mike Gundy said it was a somewhat mutual decision.

Baker came to OSU via Clemson after a torn ACL ended his Tigers career early, and he was never able to get settled in with the Cowboy program. He participated in just six games at OSU where he logged only 6 total tackles and 2 pass breakups during that time.
With Baker gone, that leaves OSU without two corners it originally began the season with, as second year player Madre Harper was dismissed from the program mid-season.
Although Baker and OSU parting ways isn’t a big blow to the starting lineup, it could impact OSU’s overall depth at a position currently manned by two brand new starters this season in A.J. Green and Rodarius Williams.
Before the season started it was sort of crazy to think that OSU would play the entire year without Baker starting a single game. But six passing TDs later, here we are.
“They’ve had two months,” said Gundy of Green and Williams. “When we talked … all during preseason, you guys wanted my opinion on them, and I said, ‘I don’t have a clue. I know they’re young, they’re immature, they don’t have any experience. We’ll know a lot more at the end of October, November.’
“They’ve improved. This will be … the greatest challenge for them with this guy throwing it and their ability to make plays on the perimeter.”
