All-Sports Update: Soccer Woes Continue, Tennis Duo Victorious
It’s been a rough October for Cowgirls soccer. Baseball team knocks some rust off.
Soccer
The Oklahoma State soccer team’s skid continued this weekend.
The Cowgirls fell to West Virginia 2-1 on Friday and Iowa State 2-0 on Sunday during Senior Day.
Against West Virginia, the teams traded penalty kicks in the first half. WVU’s Hannah Abraham scored a goal in the 87th minute to give the Mountaineers the victory.
The Cowgirls outshot Iowa State 18-13 but were unable to find the back of the net on Senior Day.
OSU fallen to 10-6-1 this season and are 2-5-1 in Big 12 play, putting the Cowgirls eighth in the conference standings.

Baseball
The OSU baseball team played four seven-inning scrimmages against Vanderbilt this weekend.
The Cowboys fell to Vanderbilt in all four outings by a combined score of 20-7.
But hey, it’s only fall baseball, so hit the Miley.

Men’s Tennis
OSU freshmen Emile Hudd and sophomore Maxim Tybar won the ITA Central Regional doubles championship Sunday after defeating a tandem from Drake, 6-4, 6-4.
Hudd and Tybar met up with OSU teammates Artur Dubinski and Matej Vocel in the semifinals. Hudd and Tybar won that match, 3-6, 7-6(4), 10-7 to reach the final.
Cowboys will be in action at the USA Futures F28 this week in Waco.
Equestrian
The OSU equestrian team fell to 1-3 on the season after losses to Auburn and Georgia this weekend.
The Cowgirls fell to Auburn 12-7 on Friday before falling to Georgia 13-6 on Saturday.
OSU’s next matchup with be against TCU on Nov. 2.
Softball
For the first time in about a month, the OSU softball team had a close game.
The Cowgirls defeated North Texas 8-6 on Wednesday to advance to 4-0 in their fall schedule.
OSU trailed 3-0 after five innings, but five Cowgirls crossed the plate in the sixth.
The Cowgirls leadoff hitter Rylee Bayless finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
OSU’s four pitchers allowed a combined four hits, five walks and struck out 16.
