The 2026-27 school year is just getting underway, but the Big 12 on Thursday dropped the league’s upcoming softball schedule.

Oklahoma State is set to host four Big 12 series at Cowgirl Stadium this season, including a visit from reigning national finalists Texas Tech. Here’s the Cowgirls’ Big 12 schedule in full:

Date Opponent Location
March 12-14 Houston Houston, Texas
March 19-21 Arizona State Cowgirl Stadium
April 2-4 UCF Orlando, Fla.
April 9-11 Iowa State Cowgirl Stadium
April 16-18 Baylor Cowgirl Stadium
April 23-25 Kansas Lawrence, Kan.
April 30-May 2 Texas Tech Cowgirl Stadium
May 6-8 BYU Provo, Utah
May 13-15 Big 12 Tournament Oklahoma City

OSU finished second in the league last season behind Texas Tech. Kansas and Tech are the only teams the Cowgirls will face who finished in the Top 5 of the league last season, but you probably can’t draw too much from that in the portal-movement era.

The Cowgirls made it to the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament last season before dropping back-to-back games against Nebraska. OSU finished Kenny Gajewki’s 11th year at 41-17.

OSU lost ace pitcher Ruby Meylan from last season’s squad, but Gajewksi did another terrific job in the transfer portal, putting together a Top 10 portal class, according to D1Softball.

The Cowgirls added five transfers this offseason in left-handed pitcher Delainey Everett (Mississippi State), catcher Kennedy Proctor (Utah), and utility players Maddie Hartley (Houston), Payton Kennedy (Ole Miss) and Kendra Lewis (Wisconsin).

That group joins returners like Rosie Davis, Karli Godwin, Tia Warsop and others, as the Cowgirls look to return to the WCWS for the first time since 2024.
