The Cowboys are back in action this weekend, and it looks to be another great week of games nationwide.
Here’s a look at the Big 12 slate and some of the best games from around the country for college football’s Week 6.
Big 12 Schedule
Iowa State (3-2) at No. 8 BYU (4-0) — 9:15 p.m. Friday on ESPN
Arizona (4-1) at West Virginia (3-2) — 11 a.m. Saturday on TNT/truTV
UCF (3-2) at No. 18 Oklahoma State (3-1) — 11 a.m. Saturday on ESPN2
No. 22 Houston (4-1) at Kansas State (3-1) — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on FOX
Kansas (2-2) at No. 12 Utah (4-0) — 9:15 p.m. Saturday on ESPN
Hawai‘i (1-4) at Arizona State (2-2) — 9:30 p.m. Saturday on FS1
Houston-Kansas State: K-State is coming off a bye and trying to bounce back from a road loss in Cincy, while the Cougars just had to come back from a 17-0 second-half deficit against UCF. The winner here stays very much alive in the race to Arlington, while the loser gets put behind the proverbial 8-ball.
Iowa State-BYU: Going into the year, this wasn’t a game I thought I’d be highlighting. However, the Cyclones are coming off a big win against West Virginia in which they scored 45 points. BYU got some bad news this week: star running back LJ Martin is set to miss four to six weeks with a lower body injury. So, the Cougars will have to adjust against a hot team.
Arizona-West Virginia: The Mountaineers need to figure something out defensively, as they’ve given up 86 points in the past two weeks. Enter the Preseason All-Big 12 quarterback Noah Fifita and the Wildcats. Arizona is just a 3.5-point favorite, as the Wildcats are going to have to travel multiple time zones for an early kick.
Other Games to Watch
No. 7 Indiana (5-0) at Nebraska (5-0) — 11 a.m. Saturday on FOX
No. 1 Texas (4-0) vs. Oklahoma (2-2) — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC
No. 21 UCLA (4-0) at No. 13 Oregon (3-1) — 2:30 p.m. Saturday on CBS
No. 10 LSU (4-1) at Kentucky (4-1) — 6 p.m. Saturday on ESPN
No. 2 Georgia (5-0) at No. 6 Alabama (5-0) — 6:30 p.m. Saturday on ABC
Indiana-Nebraska: The Cornhuskers are again at the precipice of gaining some national respect. Can they grab it? Despite being undefeated with two Big Ten wins, Nebraska isn’t ranked, but a win against the reigning champs would make the Cornhuskers undeniable to pollsters.
Red River: You can never know for sure how the Red River Shootout is going to go, but given where these teams are right now, a Sooner win would be quite surprising. With that said, the Longhorns’ offense hasn’t been busting bulbs on scoreboards, but the OU offense has been … bad.
Georgia-Alabama: The knock against the Bulldogs entering this weekend is that they haven’t played anyone yet, but they have outscored their first five opponents a combined 257-67. The Crimson Tide got a signature win in Starkville this past weekend, beating a ranked Mississippi State squad 56-23. Alabama also crushed Kentucky 45-17 earlier in the season.
