One of the biggest question marks of Oklahoma State softball’s offseason was the pitching staff, and we got at least a big part of that answer on Friday.

Mississippi State transfer pitcher Delainey Everett announced her commitment to Oklahoma State. As a junior with the Bulldogs this past season, Everett threw 24 1/3 innings where she posted a 1.15 ERA. She had a .195 batting average against.

Everett helped lead the Bulldogs to the WCWS this past season, including a standout performance in the Super Regional round. Everett threw a complete game shutout against Oklahoma in Norman in Game 3 of that Super.

The performance led to Everett getting a shoutout on the Pat McAfee Show.

A lefty, Everett hails from Oakdale, California and has spent her first three years of college at Mississippi State.

She threw 27 2/3 innings as a freshman in 2024, where she had a 4-0 record in 14 appearances with a 2.78 ERA.

Everett threw the most innings in her career in 2025, throwing 74 1/3 across 25 appearances. She logged a 2.92 ERA as a sophomore.

She was a blue-chip prospect coming out of Oakdale High, with Extra Inning Softball listing her as the No. 29 player in the country.

The Cowgirls pitching staff is going through quite the overhaul this offseason with Ruby Meyland and RyLee Crandall both being seniors this past season. Then Preslee Downing, a freshman with the third-most innings pitched, hit the portal. So, pitching was a premium for Kenny Gajewski and Co.

This is the Cowgirls’ fourth portal pickup of the offseason, with Everett joining Kennedy Proctor (Utah), Madison Hartley (Houston) and Kendra Lewis (Wisconsin).
