Chris Carson Faces Time Away After Suffering Hand Injury
Chris Carson did not see the field on Saturday against Pitt. And it wasn’t due to performance issues, but rather a hand injury he suffered during the Central Michigan game as John Holcomb first reported:
OSU runningbacks warming up- Chris Carson not in uniform. Out with a hand injury. Justice Hill expected to start.

The Oklahoma State rushing game performed admirably in Carsons absence, with Rennie Childs taking advantage of his extra playing time by putting up 101 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
It appears that Carson’s hand injury may be something that could keep him out, too. In the postgame, Mike Gundy commented on his status (via Dekota Gregory) adding that he may be out “awhile.”
Childs was excellent on Saturday and showcased why he deserves more playing time, and Justice Hill shouldered a big load as well. With the two emerging as the leading rushers, expect that rotation to be the new norm moving forward for OSU’s running game.
