Chris Carson Scores 2 Touchdowns in NFL Debut With Seattle Seahawks

Former Oklahoma State running back Chris Carson was pick No. 249 in the NFL Draft earlier this summer, but he didn’t play like it in his NFL debut on Sunday with the Seattle Seahawks.
Carson scored twice on a pair of 1-yard rushes from the goal line in Seattle’s 48-17 win over the Chargers, showing the same strength and force that made him so valuable as a Cowboy.

Here’s his second and final TD of the night, where he treated the poor Charger defender like a TCU tackling dummy.

Carson finished with 7 carries for 19 yards rushing as well as a reception that went for 3 yards, but his impact on the goal line was unquestionably where he proved his value on Sunday in his debut. And it could be the biggest reason Seattle might choose to keep him around for its 53-man roster.
The biggest development of the night was Carson taking more reps than former Arkansas running back Alex Collins, who he’ll likely be directly competing against for a roster spot, as well as former Notre Dame talent C.J. Prosise. If he can continue his strong play through the preseason and in camp, Carson could have a strong chance of landing on the 53-man roster by the time it’s all said and done.
