Cowboy Hoops: Oklahoma State to Play Tulsa in Exhibition on Walkaround Friday
OSU vs. Tulsa pre-walkaround.
Walkaround used to be the evening of Oklahoma State’s Homecoming and Hoops, but this year, the Cowboys will get some live action in before the evening festivities.
Oklahoma State on Wednesday released its exhibition schedule that features a game against Tulsa at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23. That’s the day before the OSU football team hosts Colorado for America’s Greatest Homecoming. That means fans should have the opportunity to walk the Cowboys and then go to walkaround and view the Greek houses.
OSU will also host New Mexico (Oct. 11) and travel to Wisconsin (Oct. 27) for exhibition games.
Tulsa went 30-8 last season in the program’s fourth year under Eric Konkol. After losing in the second round of the American Conference Championship, the Golden Hurricane accepted a bid into the NIT and made it all the way to the final before losing to Auburn in overtime.
Have to imagine OSU associate head coach James Miller had something to do with New Mexico getting on the exhibition schedule, as Miller had previously coached at New Mexico State and New Mexico Junior College. The Lobos went 26-11 last season after making the NCAA Tournament in 2025 and 2024.
The Wisconsin exhibition was announced earlier this month. The Badgers have made the NCAA Tournament the past three seasons and have taken part in 25 NCAA Tournaments since 1999.
