Cowboy Wrestling Facilities Getting a Facelift
How the new soccer facilities are benefiting Cowboy wrestling.
When one program at Oklahoma State has something good happen to it, other programs can sometimes reap the benefits as well.
With Cowgirl soccer making the move to the their new $20 million facility, a little space opened up in Gallagher-Iba Arena that will greatly benefit the Cowboy wrestling program.
The Cowgirl soccer team had been utilizing the old football locker room as their locker room prior to the move over to Neal Patterson stadium. With the girls moving, Cowboy wrestling is now moving their locker room downstairs to the Cowgirls old locker room.
Here’s a photo of the demolition that appears to be underway.

So what’s going to happen with the Cowboys old locker room?
They’re removing all the lockers and going to renovate it to bring in more cardio equipment. This is not the major renovations Mike Holder mentioned during the baseball stadium unveiling. That’s a much larger project.
But in the meantime, it is a nice little boost for the Cowboys to have a bit larger locker room and renovated cardio facility.
