• Most Viewed of the Week (No. 1): Gundy Offered an In-State Football Player
While this wasn’t the most interesting news of the week, I suspect it had an audience well within PFBs footprint – possibly Bishop Kelley fans. Either way, the offer reminded me of when the Pokes landed Malcolm Rodriguez from the Tulsa area a couple of years ago – a talented and moderately overlooked player within the OSU footprint.
• Most Viewed of the Week (No. 2): Maurice Calloo Could Return to OSU
This is top-shelf blogging – opinion combined with sourcing provides not only breaking information but plenty of opinion around it. A potential Calloo return to go with Duncan Demuth departing could mean the Pokes were looking for a more prominent, beefy power forward.
But I don’t think that’s why the number two article for the week – the question is if he deserves to be back. The article mentions he was guilty by association, present during what would turn out to be criminal proceedings. The facts are that Kentrevious Jones and Michael Weathers were on their last straw while Calloo was a first time offender.
• Most Viewed of the Week (No. 3): CJ Moore is Gaining Steam in Spring Ball
When you hear about an OSU receiver’s development coming along nicely – the mind automatically goes to see a floor of an undrafted NFL draft pick with a sky-high ceiling. Given that his familial ties and a four-star recruiting ranking, you can confidently assert that a productive career at Oklahoma State will be in line.
What makes this the most fun is the co-starring role open across from Tylan Wallace and believing he’s capable of filling it.
• Most Viewed of the Week (No. 4): Breaking Down OSU’s Grad Transfer Pickup
This is one of the big reasons why I read PFB – in-depth thought on how news impacts OSU. Reporting but also analysis stemming from the news.
As for Kyle Junior – he fills a great need: depth and experience on the defensive front. Seeing the front four reinforced this week with an eligible Israel Antwine and a defensive end transfer was great news.
• Most Viewed of the Week (No. 5): Kyle Junior Commits to OSU
Something else Ragusa included in his above article was understanding Junior’s numbers well. Unless we can find a Bowling Green blogger, these insights are what we have – that Junior was likely the best defensive linemen at Bowling Green and teams did what they could to stop him, leading to numbers that don’t necessarily reflect his impact.
GoPokes had some thoughts on this that stuck out as well – all that glitters isn’t gold and highly recruited players leaving big schools may have a reason that will minimize their impact at your school. The guy grading out from the little school looking for an opportunity to shine may be a better get.
• Pokes went crazy on the Jayhawks yesterday – 12 homers in Lawrence.

This didn’t look like an amateur to me – Hovland made the cut and sits at T29 at -1 through two rounds.
