• The NCAA is considering allowing players who play fall sports this year not to lose a year of eligibility – a free year for Spencer Sanders and the rest of the conferences playing ball is really nice.
The next level of this is that teams will be allowed to exceed the scholarship limit next year as a result – and the joke here is that schools will have an extraordinary number of seniors next year.

• After chewing on the Pokes schedule this fall, I think the game I’m most excited to watch is Iowa State – just look at how many of these games have been decided by one score. It’s the newer version of the OSU/K-State games of the 2000s.
Iowa State has key returners on both sides of the ball, and Brock Purdy might be the best quarterback in the league. And each of the last five meetings have been decided by a touchdown or less. [NewsOK]
