Daily Bullets (Feb. 16): Boynton on the Egg or the Chicken, Pokes a World Series Contender
Thanks for stopping by – here’s your daily dose of Oklahoma State sports news.
OSU Bullets
• Fascinating stuff from Mike Boynton at his presser today – noted how much of a disadvantage it is that he doesn’t have a bigger NIL budget while noting playing better plays a role in that as well (PFB)
• PFB has OSU playing in two of the top three Big 12 games of the 2024 season (PFB)
• 247 is picking the Pokes as a College World Series participant:
TCU might be the most popular pick to make the CWS from the Big 12, and the Horned Frogs are loaded on paper. Oklahoma State, however, has the pieces to score a lot of runs and could round into a more complete team by the postseason if its pitching staff develops enough over the next few months.
• Mike Gundy would be a win for a TV network when he’s done coaching (Sellout Crowd)
• Tatum Bell II was offered by the Pokes yesterday (X)
• Of course Ollie Gordon would be the top player in NCAA Football 2025, right?
A look at which returning players could be the highest-ranked in EA Sports’ new college football game. 🏈

Non-OSU Bullets
• A little Valentine’s day reading: Most popular romantic comedy in each state, a history of Valentine’s cards, and the gory origins of Valentine’s Day
• Great shots from 27 of the 63 national parks
If you want a simple formula for having a good day, then get a workout done and do your most important task before lunch. Knock out those two things by noon and you really feel like you're ahead of the day.
