A Tale of the Tape
James Washington was listed as a player with the most on the line in Indianapolis where the NFL draft combine takes place.
Washington was an electric downfield weapon his entire collegiate career. He’s the only FCS wideout to accumulate 200 receptions and average at least 19.0 yards per catch in his collegiate career among all receivers dating back to 2000.
But he’s not quite 5’11”, so he’ll want to validate his film speed with timed speed at the combine. If he does that — anything under 4.50 would be fine — he’ll essentially lock in being a first-round pick.
If Washington runs slower than 4.50, he could fall into the top 10 picks of the second round. [CBS Sports]
Anybody who watches James Washington tape knows that breakaway speed isn’t an issue. It’ll cost him a few dollars if he doesn’t get it going on the 40 but he’d be one heck of a second-round steal.

Deja Vu
Can you imagine what it was like for Sean Sutton walking into the visitor’s locker room last night?
Now and then, Sean Sutton’s mind recalls moments and games from his time at OSU, making the past 10 years somehow seem shorter. The Cowboys made the NCAA Tournament once in the 25 seasons before the Suttons arrived; they made six Sweet 16s in Sean’s 17 years.
“It was an electric atmosphere every time we played,” he said. “Oklahoma State has got tremendous basketball fans. … A lot of those things come back from time to time, just the great memories, the great moments that I enjoyed at Oklahoma State.” [NewsOK]
While embers still burn at times – usually when Kansas or OU comes to town -the heyday of Oklahoma State hoops under the Suttons was almost a different sport being played in the old barn.

Referencing Washington’s touchdowns above, this is for the X’s and O’s guys:
Seven of them came on just two concepts: (1) variations of Mills ( https://t.co/zMYhc0ExFg ) and (2) an RPO where Washington runs a 5-step slant/short post and QB reads whether to hand off on inside run or throw (OSU killed people with that this year) https://t.co/N3DLc7ectb
