OSU Bullets

• This is probably the most impressive thing about the Cowboys win in Lubbock Saturday:

Cade Cunningham converted three foul shots with 20 seconds and change remaining to help get OSU to OT against the Red Raiders, but the real takeaway is that the Cowboys didn’t need a huge performance from Cunningham to get this win. It was Avery Anderson (17 points, six rebounds) who was the Pokes’ MOP.

The rest of OSU’s players are impacted by the presence of Cade but the fact that he didn’t have to put the points on the board (could even foul out!) is a step.

• Mike Gundy proved with the Miami win that recruiting isn’t the most important determinant to win a game (with relatively similar talent):

The overall stars for both teams came out to a 3.6 for Miami and a 2.56 for Oklahoma State.

• 16 years ago Oklahoma State hired Mike Gundy – a top three move all-time in OSU athletics with hiring Eddie and Coach Iba? I’ll hear hiring Terry Don Phillips with that.

• ICYMI over the weekend: Calvin Bundage and Dillon Stoner are going pro

• This college basketball pundit has the Pokes in his top-25. Note: I would too. They lost to two solid teams by five points combined.

• Man that Bryce Williams steal at No. 1 just takes the cake.

Non-OSU Bullets

• I like Buffett’s two list strategy
• Don’t be an Esau (faith-based)
• Comparing the blue bloods at Michigan and Texas trying to ascend is interesting

This tweet looking at the blue chip recruiting numbers on current rosters is pretty wild. Didn’t know Notre Dame was that far back.
