OSU Bullets

• I look for this to be Langston Anderson’s year to start showing some serious promise – think Tylan Wallace’s freshman year behind James Washington or even James Washington’s freshman year behind Tyreek Hill and David Glidden.

Is Anderson the next in a long line of stud wide receivers in Stillwater? Sure, Tylan Wallace is back with All-American capabilities, but it’s possible he will draw plenty of double teams. There is depth behind him with Dillon Stoner, Landon Wolf and Braydon Johnson, but Anderson might be the name many don’t know now who could become a familiar name and major threat to other Big 12 teams. [HCS]

Tylan’s freshman year he looked awkwardly small but he kept making catches where you couldn’t figure it out, just how he was doing it.

Flipping over to James Washington, he developed great rapport with young Mason Rudolph and racked up nearly 500 yards his freshman year – that would be a great goal for Langston Anderson with sophomore Spencer Sanders.

• This was a fun read – take a peak at how much OSU pays for each football win compared to it’s peers. Spoiler: Texas doesn’t make the top ten.

• OSU really needs one of these off-ball guards to pop.

You count on Ice and Cade to produce and distribute – and in a limited fashion, Ferron Flavors – but you’ve gotta have some two-way output from the group of Chris Harris/Avery Anderson/Rondel Walker/Bryce Williams. Walker stands as good of a chance as the rest of them.

• It’s still wild to see Cade Cunningham in an OSU jersey – here’s a video from practice:

• Jeff Goodman has Boynton’s Pokes No. 26 in his preseason top 50

• Interesting topic – players entering/exiting the college athletics apparel game.  Under Armour is trying to get out of it’s monster apparel deal with UCLA. If Under Armour got all the way out of the game, who’s coming in? How dramatically could the college sports apparel game change by 2025?

This resignation letter by a NYT editor was super interesting on today’s discourse. This quote below really struck me – we’re struggling with the concept of a free exchange amidst censorship/cancelling the “wrong”:

…But the lessons that ought to have followed the election—lessons about the importance of understanding other Americans, the necessity of resisting tribalism, and the centrality of the free exchange of ideas to a democratic society—have not been learned. Instead, a new consensus has emerged in the press, but perhaps especially at this paper: that truth isn’t a process of collective discovery, but an orthodoxy already known to an enlightened few whose job is to inform everyone else.
