• This piece on how Spencer Sanders compares to Mason Rudolph and Brandon Weeden’s first seasons as starters is wild. Scroll straight to the TD/interception numbers!
• We talk a lot about the recruiting battles that Mike Gundy loses – let’s look at the ones he’s started winning: for in-state studs.
You might not be able to beat out OU for most of the top guys, but you should be able to beat out the Mizzous and Nebraskas and Arkansas of the world for premium in-state players.
And OSU is! Over the last three years, OSU has landed more top-five guys from the state of Oklahoma (5) than OU (2). Over the last three years, OSU has landed more top-five guys from the state of Oklahoma (5) than it did from 2010-18 (3). [PFB]
It’s worth noting that this year OSU has two-top five guys committed in Collin Oliver and Aden Kelley but it’s fun to talk about the recruiting battles won either way.
• Four-star defensive back and Cowboy Football commit Ty Williams never met a sport he didn’t like (except golf).
Ultimately, Williams held his own, even if (wins in wrestling matches) were few and far between. He competed, like he has in nearly every sport Muskogee offers.
Football. Baseball. Track. Tennis.
He’s even tried boxing and CrossFit outside of school. [NewsOK]
The affinity for multi-sport is real and Ty Williams may be the king of the trend.
• Fun list of twin brothers being recruited to play college football – OSU’s Green twins are No. 2 on the list and there are some fun nuggets about them in there. They’re from Minnesota!
• Sounds like Big 12 AD’s like 12 game format but the option of nine league games plus a non-conference game is on the table. That works for the Pokes, maybe you just keep the Tulsa game in that scenario.
Continue to hear that Big 12 ADs want a full 12-game schedule. But the "plus-one" model is on the table: 9 league + 1 non-con. Also, Texas-OU could be home/home for 2 years in worst-case scenario.

• Here’s the OSU plan for making campus safer for on-campus students in the fall:
The #okstate fall student housing plan includes:
✴️Reducing or rearranging shared spaces
✴️Increased frequency of cleaning
✴️Acquisition of specialized disinfecting equipment
✴️Dedicated rooms reserved for student quarantine, if necessaryMore info: https://t.co/SGfXqDvcGm pic.twitter.com/v4UHuf31PV
