OSU Bullets

• A couple of Pokes made the preseason All-Big 12 teams. On a related note, pretty unimpressive that Tre Sterling wasn’t on there with KHP:

• Love this take on Spencer Sanders going into the season – particularly the part about “expectations”:

And after competing in 20 games the last two seasons, experience and reps should be an asset to (Sanders) instead of an alibi for errant decision-making. The expectation in Stillwater is that he’s primed for a leap. OSU’s title hopes in 2021 might hinge on it.

• While the Detroit Pistons are doing their due diligence at the top of the draft, ESPN’s premier draft analyst has strong feelings about Cade Cunningham’s chances of going No. 1:

…(W)ould the Pistons really pass on Cunningham if the draft were tonight? I still think the answer is no. I would put Cunningham as the overwhelming favorite to end up in Detroit at that spot still, which, by the way, I’ve been told he would be very excited about.

Carson and Colby talk Cowboy recruiting and the start of the Chad Weiberg era in the latest pod:

Two former Pokes are registered for and still have a chance to qualify for the World Championships this month

• Absurd to me that this CFB analyst doesn’t have Mike Gundy as one of the top 20 coaches in the game

• Ten years from now, a good portion of us will remember that “best third down % in the country” number the same way we remember how the 2011 defense led the nation in turnovers.

• More “Oklahoma” than “Oklahoma State” but fun that ORU star Max Abmas is returning for another year at ORU:

Non-OSU Bullets

• Four hour workweek was an “overwhelming success” in Iceland – they’re just trying to recover from all the bad publicity from Mighty Ducks 2

Nothing will change your future trajectory like your habits. While goals rely on extrinsic motivation, habits, once formed, are automatic. They literally rewire our brains.
