OSU Bullets

Cowgirl Softball swept through the Stillwater regional, capping it off with a 2-0 win over North Texas behind a stellar performance by Kelly Maxwell in the circle. Cowgirls will take on Clemson at home in the super regionals.

• The idea of this big lineup that Mike Boynton could use sounds awesome:

Now, if Boynton wants to play with a bigger lineup, he could have (Avery) Anderson man the point and insert (Woody) Newton or (Russell) Harrison at the three spot with (Moussa) Cisse, (Kalib) Boone and (Bryce) Thompson also on the floor. If he decides to go smaller, he could go with Cisse, Boone or (Tyreek) Smith inside with (John-Michael) Wright, Anderson, Thompson and (Caleb) Asberry at the guard spots.

• This article points out that Tyler Lacy is the most pro-ready prospect on the Cowboys roster – couldn’t agree more

• The Pokes finished the regular season in a three-way tie for second place but landed at fourth because of tiebreakers for the conference tourney – taking on Texas first:

With a series win in Waco on Saturday, the Cowboys finished their regular season 36-18 and 15-9 in conference play, tying with both Texas Tech and Oklahoma. But the league’s tie-breaker rules (head-to-head record versus the pool) mean the Cowboys land at the bottom of that tie, the 4 seed of the Big 12 Championship.

• I’m not sure if we’ll ever stop celebrating Boone and that’s a great thing:
