I’m heading out for nearly three weeks after today – spending time in Africa with some great folks and a little time overseas with Mrs. Bullets. Here’s to hoping the Cowboys bring home another golf title and Holliday’s crew forces its way into a super regional.

OSU Bullets

•  Ruby Meylan saw pitches get knocked around the field yesterday, while the Cowgirls saw a great season end with a 9-1 loss to a quality Huskers team (PFB)

• Steve Lutz filled a hole in the middle of his lineup with a solid, in-conference transfer yesterday – a 6’9″ forward with a penchant for scoring (PFB)

Eric Morris added what appears to be a really solid in-state defensive back yesterday – check out this offer list Broken Arrow player Bryson Brown had:

(Brown) picked OSU over offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State and others. [PFB]

• The Pokes lost to the eventual Big 12 champ on Friday – but it was closer than the score showed it to be:

Don’t let the final score of this game fool you, for the first six innings, this was just a two-run game with Kansas leading 3-1. But in the eighth inning, that’s where things started to turn quite a bit.

Oklahoma State put a run on the board at the top of that inning to pull within one. However, the Cowboys would need much more than that because the Jayhawks went on a scoring spree. [HCS]

• Cowboys are still projected as two-seed after losing in the Big 12 semifinals:

Non-OSU Bullets

• The African lake turning animals into stoneStop keeping score (faith-based) Thunder blue glasses are stuck on my face but this was so nice to hear:
