The Cowboys have added a second transfer from within in the Big 12.

UCF transfer forward Jordan Burks announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Saturday. Listed at 6-foot-9, 205 pounds, Burks played at UCF this past season, where he averaged 13.3 points and 4.8 boards a game while shooting 37% from 3 on nearly five attempts a contest. He joins Andrija Grbovic (Arizona State) as Big 12 transfers.

247Sporst considers Burks the No. 85 player in the portal and a four-star portal prospect.

Burks started his college career at Kentucky, appearing in 20 games as a freshman where he averaged 1.9 points and 1.7 boards in about seven minutes a game.

Then he spent the 2024-25 season at Georgetown alongside fellow OSU portal commit Julius Halaifonua, though Halaifonua was injured most of that year. With the Hoyas, Burks played in 34 games, making 11 starts, where he averaged 5.7 points and 3.4 boards a game before getting more shots in Orlando this past season.

He scored in double figures 23 times this past season. He scored a season-high 24 against BYU in February, a game he went 4-for-7 from 3 in. That was one of five 20-point performances Burks had this past season.

The analytics like what Burks brings on the offensive end of the floor in particular. His Offensive Rating/Possession Usage (tracked via KenPom) ranks in the top 320 players nationally, a stat he ranked fifth in Big East play in during his year with the Hoyas.

From Decatur, Alabama, Burks was a three-star prospect coming out of the Overtime Elite league, but his recruitment took a sharp upturn late. He had initially signed with Ole Miss before a coaching change saw him reopen his recruitment. Kentucky then scooped him up in the summer going into his freshman year of college.

Burks becomes the sixth portal pickup Steve Lutz and Co. have made this offseason, and he fills OSU’s second-to-last roster spot. Thus far, the Cowboys’ portal haul is Burks, 6-6 combo guard Luke Bogavac (North Carolina), C-USA Defensive Player of the Year Kashie Natt (Sam Houston), promising young point guard Jacob Walker (Sam Houston) and stretch forward Andrija Grbovic (Arizona State).
