Daniel Cormier to Relenquish UFC Light Heavyweight Title
Former Oklahoma State wrestler Daniel Cormier has held both the UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight titles since knocking out heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic at UFC 226.
The UFC announced Friday that Jon Jones and Alexander Gustaffson would fight December 29 at UFC 232 for the light heavyweight title. With the scheduling of that fight, Cormier will relinquish his light heavyweight title when it occurs.

This has no impact on Cormier’s heavyweight title, which he will defend next month vs. Derrick Lewis at UFC 230. Daniel is currently the No. 1 ranked pound for pound fighter in the UFC.
