Dez Bryant Promoted to Baltimore Ravens’ Active Roster
Dez could see the field on Sunday.
Dez Bryant could make his return to an NFL field on Sunday.
On Saturday, ESPN NFL insider Field Yates tweeted that Bryant had been elevated to the active roster and that “his return to NFL action could be as soon as tomorrow.”
Bryant was signed to the Ravens’ practice squad last week and was already causing a stir when a video was leaked from his first practice with the team.
On Friday (before his elevation from the practice squad), Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh was asked about how quickly Bryant would be a part of the lineup. He tried to temper expectations.
“When we feel like he’s ready to come up – in shape, knows the offense well enough, has enough compatibility with Lamar on enough plays – then we’ll bring him up,” Harbaugh said, according to BaltimoreRavens.com. “When it happens, it’ll happen. I don’t think it’s something you want to force feed in there.”
The Ravens play the Colts in Indianapolis at noon Sunday. Bryant hasn’t seen the field since 2017, his last year with the Dallas Cowboys.
