Let’s jump into the highlights and happenings of former Pokes for the NFL’s Week 8, starting with another huge game from Emmanuel Ogbah.

Ogbah’s a Bad Man

Emmanuel Ogbah committed an act of violence in the backfield during his Dolphins’ 28-17 win over the Rams. His strip-sack of Jared Goff led to a scoop-and-score with the game tied at 7 and LA knocking on the door in the red zone.

It was a huge 14-point swing that put the ‘Phins in the driver’s seat, but it was also Ogbah’s sixth sack of the season, a new career high in just Game 7 — and puts him T-7th in the NFL. He also added a pass defended.

Ogbah signed with the Dolphins after spending much of last year out with injury for the Super Bowl Champ Kansas City Chiefs. Now healthy, he seems to have found a home in South Beach — and that two-year $15 million dollar contract is looking more and more like a bargain for Miami.

Tre Flowers Disruptive in Win

With his current and collegiate teammate Chris Carson on the sidelines due to a foot injury, Tre Flowers had the best game of his season as the Seahawks bested their division rival 49ers on Sunday.

Flowers got the start for the first time in four weeks and paid it off with four solo tackles, a pass breakup and a forced fumble.

Dez Bryant Practice Video Leaked

BREAKING: Dez still has #freak hands. Also it doesn’t look like Dez has learned Baltimore’s drills just yet.

Dez signed with the Ravens practice squad last week. It’s unclear when we might actually see him suit up on Sundays, but the No. 11 is a strange sight on the former Cowboy. He hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2017.

Chris Lacy Picked up by Cowboys

Speaking of former OSU receivers, Chris Lacy was picked up by Dez’s old team and signed to the Cowboys’ practice squad in a roster move at the trade deadline.

Lacy spent the last three seasons jumping back and forth from the Detroit Lions’ active roster to practice squad. He played seven game for the Lions in 2019, starting two, and recorded three catches for 60 yards.

Washington’s Role Diminished in Pittsburgh

Just two weeks ago, James Washington turned in his best game of the season racking up 68 yards and a score. But in the two games since, he’s totaled two targets without a catch. During Sunday’s game against the Ravens, he saw a career-low 10 snaps on offense. That was No. 5 among receivers that the Steelers fielded.
