Donovan Williams’ recruiting process is taking its next steps, and the Cowboys are still involved.

Williams, one of the top uncommitted prospects in the 2020 cycle, will be in Stillwater for an official visit March 20. Stock Risers‘ Jake Weingarten first reported the news, which PFB confirmed. Here is a Q&A Williams did with PFB in late January after OSU offered him.

OSU is the first official Williams has scheduled. He visited Stillwater on an unofficial basis Jan. 27 when the Cowboys hosted Kansas. He took that unofficial alongside since-committed Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe.

A four-star shooting guard out of Lincoln, Nebraska, Williams is a the No. 128 player in the country, according to Rivals. That makes him the 15th-highest uncommitted player in the country, again according to Rivals.

With that said, Williams is still likely underrated. He tore his ACL last spring and didn’t return to action until January. When he returned, though, he torched the surrounding high schools. On back-to-back nights in early February, Williams dropped 44 and 50 points.

That being said, Williams is a pure scorer who would benefit from playing alongside the likes of Cade Cunningham and Isaac Likekele in Stillwater with their ability to get others involved.

Williams was a long-time Nebraska commit, but he decommitted from the Cornhuskers in December. Since, programs from all over have flocked to Lincoln to get their eyes on him. Oregon, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Kansas and Texas are just a few of the programs following him closely.

Williams is taking his time with his process. He told PFB in late January that his commitment date probably wouldn’t be until early or mid-April.

If Williams committed today, OSU’s 2020 class would jump from No. 10 nationally to No. 8, behind only Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Michigan, Tennessee, LSU and Arkansas.
