First Pledge of the Morris Era: Oklahoma State Secures Commitment from O-Lineman Eli Holbrook
OSU adds an offensive lineman from Arlington.
The first commitment of the Eric Morris era has been secured.
Eli Holbrook, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound offensive lineman from Arlington, announced early Tuesday evening that he has committed to Oklahoma State. Holbrook had been committed to Wake Forest since June.
Thank you to Wake Forest and the entire staff for believing in me and supporting me. I appreciate everything. I will be uncommitted from Wake Forest and committing to Oklahoma State.@__CoachMorris @Coach_Crill @ahscoltfootball @pnelly73 @CharlesPower @BrianDohn247 pic.twitter.com/yA6kamHvcz

Holbrook is the No. 1,308 player in the 247Sports Composite ranking for the 2026 class, making him the No. 102 interior O-lineman in the cycle and the No. 185 player in the Lone Star State.
He also held offers to North Texas (under Morris), UTSA, San Diego State, Tulsa, Texas State and others.
It’s been a busy race to signing day for Morris and OSU. With the new Cowboy coach still leading North Texas into the American title game, Morris is also working to construct his first OSU roster.
The Cowboys had dropped down to four pledges entering Wednesday’s start to the early signing period before Holbrook officially jumped on board.
Morris and his staff seem to have be making the offensive front a point of emphasis early on, as along with Holbrook, in-state O-lineman Dawson Matthews and Baylor commit Kole Seaton announced OSU offers on Tuesday. The Cowboys also sent out an offer to junior college offensive lineman Steven Moore on Monday.
