Former Four-star Signee LC Greenwood Transferring to Northwestern State
Greenwood was a star recruit in the 2017 class.
Former four-star recruit LC Greenwood, who signed with Oklahoma State in the 2017 class as the second-highest ranked enrollee, is transferring to Northwestern State, according to Chris Hummer of 247Sports.
Greenwood entered the transfer portal in January the same week as Tyrell Alexander.
A big-bodied, 6-foot-3 receiver out of Lakeview Centennial High School in Texas, Greenwood was ranked as a top-300 recruit in 2017 — ahead of Chuba Hubbard! — and joined the program with high acclaim. But he could never quite carve out a role in OSU’s deep receiving corps. He moved to linebacker in 2019 and couldn’t quite stick there, either.
Greenwood redshirted in 2017 and played in a handful of games in 2018 and 2019, recording three receptions for 12 yards as a sophomore. He did not record any stats in 2018.
Despite losing Greenwood, OSU has managed to cobble together a talented receiving group led by Tylan Wallace, who was the one 2017 recruit who ranked ahead of Greenwood in the 2017 class. OSU also is expected to rely heavily on Dillon Stoner, Braydon Johnson, Dee Anderson and Landon Wolf this season.
