Malcolm Rodriguez Records 4.5 40-Yard Dash at NFL Draft Combine
Rodriguez was T4th among linebackers in the 40.
He’s big, he’s strong, he tackles lots of people. He’s also plenty fast in a straight line, which can’t hurt him come draft time.
Former Oklahoma State linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez showed out at the NFL Draft Combine this weekend, tying for the fourth-fastest 40-yard dash time among participating linebackers, per NFL.com (ignore the unofficial time on the screen).
That sprint edged out OSU running back Jaylen Warren’s 4.56 time (which makes sense with how many of Warren’s counterparts Rodriguez chased down last year). Rodriguez also posted a 39.5-inch vertical jump, fifth-best among the 32 LBs in attendance, and recorded 120 inches in the broad jump.
Kolby Harvell-Peel, the third Cowboy to participate at the combine, will be in action on Sunday as the defensive backs take the field for drills.
The Cowboys’ three combine invitees will get the chance to further showcase their skills with several other fellow Cowboys at Oklahoma State’s Pro Day which takes place in Stillwater on March 24. The 2022 NFL Draft takes place in Las Vegas April 28-30.
