Oklahoma State parlayed inexperience into production in Week 1 of the football season, using several newcomers to make an impact in its 58-17 season-opener on Thursday.

All told, seven total freshmen — a huge chunk of which were defensive players — saw the field for the first time as Cowboys. Junior college defensive end transfer Mike Scott (no, not that Mike Scott), also played in his first live-game action.

Below is a look at newcomer stats through one week of action. Similar to our freshman tracker last season, we’ll be updating this weekly to keep you apprised of which newbies are playing and how they’re faring in their first season.
