NFL Roundup: Dez Gets Some Raider Nation Love and Where Your Team Sits in the Playoff Hunt

The NFL regular season is winding down with several teams still jockeying in and out of the playoff picture, while some are already preparing for the NFL Draft and next season. Let’s check in with some former Pokes after Week 15.

Dez Bryant

Dez caught two of the four balls thrown his way for 59 yards during the Cowboys’ 20-17 win in Oakland.

Dez and Co. got the full Raider Nation treatment in Oakland. Here, after Dak Prescott rushed for a TD, the fans took to throwing bottle and trash at the Cowboys. It looks like Dez even caught something at the end.

But the All-Pro receiver took the extracurricular crowd support in stride according to the Dallas Morning News.

“That’s my kind of party,” Bryant said. “Hey, let’s have some fun. I just love how they show support for their team. Those are real fans. That’s how you’re supposed to be for your team.”

Chris Carson

After suffering a setback in his quick recovery last week, Carson will not play against Dallas this weekend according to head coach Pete Carroll. But finally, returning to practice is still a possibility.

Carson is still the Seahawks’ leading rusher not named Russell Wilson. With two games remaining, Seattle’s playoff hopes are still technically alive. But the prospect of a 2017 return for the rookie is looking more and more unlikely.

Russell Okung

Okung went down with a groin injury in the second half of the Chargers’ 30-13 road loss to the Chiefs. His status is unclear for LA’s road game against the Jets on Sunday, but the loss to Kansas City puts a big dent in its playoff hopes.

Vincent Taylor

Taylor saw 20 total plays on defense and special teams and recorded tackle during the Dolphins’ 24-16 road loss to Buffalo.

Dan Bailey

A week after his “frustrating day” where the All-Pro kicker went 1 for 3 on field goals and missed an extra point attempt, Bailey made both of his field goal attempts and both extra points in the Cowboys’ close win in Oakland.

Lane Taylor

The return of Aaron Rodgers wasn’t enough to lift the Packers over the Panthers. Rodgers threw three interceptions and was sacked three times in his return. The 31-24 loss eliminates Green Bay from postseason play.

Kevin Peterson

Peterson logged a career-high two tackles during the Rams’ 42-7 drumming of Seattle on Sunday. Peterson saw nine snaps on defense in a support role and 23 on special teams. And with the Rams now in the 3 seed, expect more opportunity for the former All-Big 12 corner.

Lenzy Pipkins

The rookie DB saw four snaps on defense and 14 on special teams in the Packers’ 31-24 loss to Carolina. He recorded one tackle.

Tyler Patmon

The former Oklahoma State corner logged 11 snaps each on defense and special teams, but did not record a stat in Jacksonville’s 45-7 drumming of the Houston Texans.
