NFL Roundup: Dez Hits Another Milestone and Several Former Pokes Bit with Injury Bug
Week 7 of NFL action is in the books and several former Pokes made plays and a couple made some history. Let’s get started with the history.
Dez Bryant
Bryant caught his 71st career TD reception to tie Bob Hayes for the most in Dallas Cowboy history.

Bryant caught seven of his team-high 10 targets for 63 yards and that score. His seven catches also moved him up into third place all-time in franchise history with 490 career grabs ahead of Emmitt Smith (486) and Drew Pearson (489).
Dan Bailey
Dan Bailey injured his groin while warming up on the sidelines and left the game against the 49ers. He did not return and has been ruled out for this weekend and appears will be out multiple weeks. The seventh-year pro and most accurate kicker in NFL history has never missed a game since during his career.
But before leaving the game, Bailey did make two point-after attempts which pushed his career scoring total to 800, good for third among Cowboys behind only Emmitt Smith (986) and Rafeal Septien (874). At this pace, the former all-time scoring Oklahoma State Cowboy could become the all-time scoring Dallas Cowboy in the just a couple more seasons.
Emmanuel Ogbah
Ogbah registered five total tackles including two solo grabs as his Cleveland Browns almost got their first win. Unfortunately, the Browns fell to the Tennessee Titans in overtime.
This little tidbit was from before the Browns’ Week 7 matchup with the Titans. Ogbah has been one of the more productive young defenders on a defense with a lot of promise.

Russell Okung
Okung and his crew up front did their job as the Chargers blanked his former team, the Denver Broncos 21-0. Chargers QB Philip Rivers was sacked three times but went 15 of 26 for 183 yards and two scores.
Lenzy Pipkens
Pipkens was inactive for the Packers’ game against the New Orleans Saints as part of concussion protocol after the late hit he received from Minnesota wide receiver Laquon Treadwell the week before. Treadwell was fined $24,309 by the league for the hit.

The rookie Pipkens seems to have carved out a niche for himself in Green Bay, with 11 total tackles (five solo) through the first six weeks.
Lane Taylor
During the offseason, the Packers signed the former OSU lineman to a multi-year extension to be their starting left guard of the future. Unfortunately, a string of injuries saw Taylor starting at left tackle for a couple weeks before finally succumbing to an apparent lower leg injury a week ago against the Minnesota Vikings. He left that game and did not return. He did not suit up for the Packers’ home loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Vincent Taylor
The rookie defensive tackle was inactive for the Dolphins’ game against the New York Jets. All accounts point to the decision being due to depth the Dolphins have at d-tackle with Ndamukong Suh, Jordan Phillips and fellow rookie Davon Godchaux ahead of Taylor.
