NFL Roundup: Tyler Patmon Makes a Huge Play in Wild Card Round
The NFL Playoffs kicked off this weekend. Unfortunately only two former Pokes were active. One will move on, and the other is done for the year. Let’s start with the bad news.
Kevin Peterson
In his first postseason action of Peterson’s career, he was part of an unfortunate special teams fiasco.
Crucial mistake by a Rams special teams that has been the NFL's best this season. Punt inadvertently hit Blake Countess in the foot, then bounced off Pharoh Cooper's arms and slipped out of the grasp of Kevin Peterson. Falcons recover at the Rams' 17. https://t.co/aAEg8QY8Kw

Cooper, the Pro Bowl return man also fumbled another punt return at the 32-yard line, compounding a rough outing for an L.A. special teams unit that has been one of the NFL’s best all season.
The Rams’ Cinderella run would end early with a 26-13 home loss to the Atlanta Falcons during Wild Card weekend. But Peterson has probably shown enough to earn snaps moving forward, especially after his two-interception outing in Week 17 during his first start.
Tyler Patmon
The former Cowboy DB saw action during the Jaguars’ 10-3 win over Buffalo and paid it off with a game-saving pass breakup to force a fourth down on what would have been a Zay Jones third-and-long conversion.
Patmon also recorded a tackle during his 28 snaps on defense. He’ll get more chances to make plays as the Jags head to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on Sunday in the AFC divisional round.
Congrats @Lion_hearted_26 on the playoff win. Great play late in the 4th quarter to force the punt. @Jaguars #GoPokes #okstate pic.twitter.com/MMU21ZTDW7

Brandon Weeden
At this point Weeden is just along for the ride. His Titans pulled off a 22-21 win over Kansas City and will head to Foxborough to face the Patriots in the divisional round on Saturday.
Weeden and Matt Cassel make up the depth chart behind Marcus Mariota. But when your QB1 is doing things like this, you never know what could happen.
