Members of Eric Morris’ coaching staff continue to roll in, with Oklahoma State announcing Tuesday that the program has added a new head of strength and conditioning and a new wide receivers coach.

Bryan Kegans will follow Morris from UNT to OSU to be the new strength coach. Pokes Report reported this news earlier in the month, but now it’s official. Nick Edwards will coach the Cowboys’ receivers, news CBS Sports’ Matt Zentiz reported earlier this month.

Kegans had been at North Texas in all three of Morris’ seasons at the program, earning the title of assistant head coach for the final two seasons. Before that, Kegans was with Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma (2018-22) and USC (2022-23) as a director of sports performance. Kegans also spent time at Texas as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2013 and 2014.

Kegans played on the Texas Tech offensive line from 2002-05, sharing two seasons of overlap with Morris.

Edwards is a rare addition from outside Morris’ UNT staff, most recently coaching receivers at Wake Forest. His college coaching career started at Eastern Washington as a receiver coach in 2014, where he coached Cooper Kupp, now one of the better receivers in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams.

Edwards has also made stops at Cal (2017-19), the Minnesota Vikings (2020), Cal Poly (2020-21), the Atlanta Falcons (2022) and Washington State (2023-24). Edwards was an offensive coordinator during his tenure at Cal Poly.

Under Edwards’ tutelage, Wake Forest ranked 22nd nationally with an average of 13.15 yards per catch this season.

Edwards played at Eastern Washington from 2009 to 2012. He won an FCS national title with Eastern Washington in 2010 and was an All-American in 2011.
