Oklahoma State Offers 2023 Quarterback Prospect Zane Flores
Flores threw for 2,885 yards as a junior.

The Cowboys are looking for a quarterback to add to their 2023 class and went to an old Big 12 state to try to do so.
Zane Flores, a three-star quarterback from Nebraska, announced an Oklahoma State offer Tuesday.
Who Is He?
Listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, Flores plays his high school ball with Gretna High School in Nebraska. He led the Dragons to a 12-1 season in 2021 in which Gretna won the Nebraska Class A state championship, but the Dragons’ victory was vacated after the Nebraska School Activities Association board ruled the Dragons used an ineligible player (not Flores) that season.
Regardless, Flores led an offense that averaged nearly 34 points a game. He threw for 2,885 yards and 26 touchdowns as a junior, according to MaxPreps. In 30 varsity games in his high school career, Flores has thrown for 6,046 yards and 51 touchdowns. An accurate passer with a big arm, Flores also showed an ability to be a serviceable runner at the high school level, running for 216 yards and 10 touchdowns in his junior season.
Others Involved
Oklahoma State becomes Flores’ third Division-I offer, joining Kansas State and Bowling Green.
Those won’t be the last three to offer Flores. He also took visits last season to Nebraska, Northwestern, North Dakota State and Missouri.
In the Rankings
Flores is a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports. The outlet has him as the No. 61 QB in the class and the No. 8 player from Nebraska. He is unranked on Rivals, but this early into 2023 rankings, that isn’t anything to flip out about.
OSU’s 2023 Quarterback Situation
Flores is the second quarterback OSU’s staff has offered in the past week, with Brock Glenn recently announcing an offer.
OSU has now offered seven 2023 QBs. Four of those guys are already committed, with the noncommitted guys being Flores, Glenn and Christopher Vizzina.
