Oklahoma State Offers 2024 Linebacker Lance Taylor Jr.
Could Taylor be the next Devin Harper?
Oklahoma State has had recent success with an underrecruited linebacker from the Volunteer State, and they’re after another.
Lance Taylor Jr., a 2024 linebacker from Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, announced an OSU offer this week. The Cowboys pulled Devin Harper out of Tennessee not too long ago and turned him into an NFL Draft pick.
Who Is He?
Listed at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, Taylor recorded 124 tackles, four forced fumbles and a pair of picks as a junior this past season. To continue the Harper comparisons, Taylor also played some running back, running for 434 yards and 10 scores. MASE went 13-1, making it to the Tennessee Division-I 1A state playoffs.
In the Rankings
Not many of the recruiting services have evaluated Taylor at this point, but 247Sports list him as a three-star recruit, the No. 96 linebacker in the class and the No. 34 player from Tennessee.
Others Involved
Despite not being ranked everywhere, Taylor has a nice offer list that is only growing. He has offers from the likes of Miami, Nebraska, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Colorado, Indiana, Georgia Tech and others.
Linebackers in 2024
OSU linebackers coach Joe Bob Clements and company have offered a string prospects in recent weeks. Gunnar Wilson, Jonathan Agumadu, Temerrick Johnson and Wyatt Simmons have all announced OSU offers in the month of May.
Three-star linebacker Jaylen Boardley also committed to the Cowboys last month.
