The Cowboys are after a versatile talent with break-neck speed and the ability to fill up the stat sheet like few prospects in his class..

On Thursday, Oklahoma State extended an offer to MarJayvious Moss, the four-star Louisiana defensive back announced via Twitter.

Who is he?

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound stud plays all over the field for Northwood High School (Shreveport). He’s played wide receiver, wildcat QB, cornerback, safety, nickel, punt returner and kick returner. He also runs track.

In 2021, he recorded 58 tackles, six tackles for loss, eight interceptions, a pick-six, a punt return TD, three rushing scores and five TD catches. Talk about stuffing the staff sheet. Basically, Moss makes plays when he’s on offense and matches up well against those who try to make plays when he’s on defense. It appears that the Pokes view him as a safety at the next level.

Others Involved

Moss received his first off when Baylor came calling in February, but that list has quickly grown to 15 including the likes of Minnesota, Mississippi State, Memphis and Vanderbilt. He’s scheduled to visit the Bears June 24.

In the Rankings

247Sports ranks Moss as the No. 34 cornerback in the class and the No. 15 prospect out of Louisiana. His composite score of 0.9059 would make him the highest-ranked player in the Cowboys’ 2023 class. If he were to commit to OSU, as of writing, his score would boost OSU’s current team ranking from 24th to 19th.
