Oklahoma State Officially Announces 6-foot-11 Center Yankuba Sima
According to a report from earlier this week, 6-foot-11 center Yankuba Sima, a transfer from St. John’s, had committed to Oklahoma State. And he confirmed as much on Friday afternoon with this tweet — and an official tweet from the OSU basketball account.
Excited to start this new journey with Oklahoma State University! Go Cowboys ???

As a freshman for the Red Storm, Sima averaged 7.3 points and 23.4 minutes per game. He also added 2.4 blocks — second in the Big East Conference — in making 17 starts.
This season, however, his averages were down across the board. Largely due to a reduced role with St. John’s, which is believed to be part of the reason he elected to transfer.
According to a source, Sima was on campus during the Texas A&M CC game on Wednesday, where it is believed he has already been admitted to enroll. Sima will be eligible for Oklahoma State starting in the spring semester of 2018.
