Oklahoma State Releases Updated Depth Chart, No Major Surprises
Sanders is listed as the Cowboys’ starting QB.
Spencer Sanders is still listed as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback after missing the Pokes’ Week 1 win Saturday because of COVID protocol.
Oklahoma State released an updated depth chart ahead of Mike Gundy’s weekly media luncheon Monday. There weren’t any major surprises on it, but it did reflect some of the absences from the Cowboys’ 23-16 victory against Missouri State on Saturday.
Cowboy back Logan Carter and defensive end Trace Ford weren’t included in the updated two-deep. Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy said both would be out “a while” after Saturday’s game. Carter’s absence has been undisclosed to this point. Meanwhile, The Oklahoman‘s Jacob Unruh reported Sunday that Ford tore his ACL in practice last week and won’t play this season.
Elsewhere, twins Bryson and Blaine Green share an or at OSU’s X receiver spot. Blaine was listed as the starter last week but didn’t play Saturday. He was on the field in street clothes during warmups, though. In his place, Bryson caught three passes for 41 yards in his first college game.
Hunter Woodard and Cole Birmingham also share an or at right guard. Woodard was listed as the Cowboys’ starter but didn’t play in Saturday’s game, where Birmingham started. Postgame, Gundy said he expected Woodard back “in a few days.”
Oklahoma State hosts Tulsa at 11 a.m. Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium.
