OSU’s 2020 season is pushed back a week.

It isn’t game week after all.

Oklahoma State’s game against Tulsa has been delayed until Sept. 19 because of corona virus-caused disruptions in Tulsa’s practices, according to the Tulsa World‘s Kelly Hines.

The game was scheduled to be played this weekend and start both teams’ 2020 seasons. OSU had Sept. 19 open before the Cowboys kicked off their nine-game Big 12 schedule with two more open dates in it.

Tulsa has been limited in its practice sessions since the beginning of its fall camp that started Aug. 7, according to Tulsa’s release. The Golden Hurricane had a nine-day pause because of multiple positive tests and was limited to seven practices in the 17 days of preseason camp.

“The safety and health of our student-athletes is always at the core of all of our discussions and decisions,” TU AD Derrick Gragg said in a statement. “Without time to properly prepare physically we would be putting our student-athletes at a greater risk of injury. An open date for both schools presented us with the opportunity to reschedule the game for a week later. I’m appreciative of Mike Holder and Oklahoma State University for their cooperation in coming to this decision.”

Kickoff time and TV information is still TBD as of now. For OSU season ticket holders, things will stay the same despite the new date, according to OSU’s release.
