OSU Commit Brennan Presley Named Oklahoma Gatorade Player of the Year
OSU set to add another Gatorade Player of the Year.
We told you this past fall that Bixby product and Class of 2020 OSU receiver commit Brennan Presley wouldn’t fly under the radar long. Now, ahead of his team’s Friday night Class 6A-II state championship game, the three-star prospect has been named the best preps player in Oklahoma, according to Gatorade.
Presley has been a do-it-all player for the 12-0 Spartans, grabbing 82 catches and 1,398 receiving yards and 23 scores. He’s also recorded seven interceptions with two pick-sixes as a cornerback for Bixby. He projects as a receiver at the next level, and has already shown off his ability to mimic OBJ.
The 5-foot-8, 160-pound speedster was largely unrecruited heading into his senior season. OSU was his first Power Five offer in late June. He committed to the Cowboys on July 15.
It didn’t take long for him to show off just how dynamic he could be as a playmaker. In Bixby’s season opener, he caught 27 passes for 237 yards and six touchdowns (??????).
This might be the next diamond in the rough that Oklahoma State’s staff, specifically Kasey Dunn, can add to his resume. 247Sports still lists Presley as the No. 19 player in the state.
Presley is set to join another former Gatorade Player of the Year honoree, Spencer Sanders, next year. Sanders won the award in Texas for the 2017-18 season.
