OSU Commit Justice Hill Primed for Monster Senior Season
Justice Hill is an electric running who committed early to OSU.
Justice Hill became the first prospect to commit in the 2016 class, just weeks after national signing day this year. Hill is working hard to better himself for his senior season and preparing for his future in Stillwater.
“I just want to be a better teammate, block for my quarterback more than I did last year, get to at least 2,000 yards rushing hopefully,” Hill told Fox 23’s Andrew Carter.
At 5’10, 185 pounds, Hill had a breakout junior season and rushed for 1,555 yards and 24 touchdowns last season. The Hornets have just 10 games in the regular season, meaning Hill would need to average 200 yards per game throughout the regular season.
The best part about his interview was his take on the running back position. He said OSU plans to use his skills all over the field, not just running back. “Primary position is running back, but they said I could play a little slot, and, wherever they fit me in, they fit me in,” he said.
“You get to just make plays (at running back). And you get to embarrass people as they try to tackle you.”
Hill has a unique humility coupled with a quiet confidence that makes him a very intriguing prospect looking ahead to the 2016 season. He’s a track star with an impressive football pedigree and strong work ethic. There is a lot to be said about players who are self-motivated and have a level head on their shoulders. It looks like Gundy got himself an excellent football player, and more importantly, a really great kid.
