OSU QB Recruit Isaac Wilson Commits to In-State School Utah
The Cowboys miss out on a QB with NFL family ties.
The Cowboys missed out on a 2024 quarterback with NFL family ties.
Isaac Wilson, younger brother of New York Jets passer Zach Wilson, announced his commitment to Utah on Wednesday. The Cowboys were in the top six that Wilson released last week after offering him last fall.
The pledge isn’t a huge shock with the Utes being his in-state school, though he did show interest in OSU with a visit to Stillwater earlier this year. He even chose Utah over his brother’s alma mater (also in-state) BYU, UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona and OSU.
Wilson is one of six quarterbacks the Cowboys have offered in the 2024 cycle. Of those, only Maealiuaki Smith (California) and Aidan Glover (Tennessee) are uncommitted.
OSU’s 2024 class is currently ranked 31st in 247 Sports’ team ranking with seven commits. That is third in the Big 12, behind Texas Tech and Oklahoma (which will not be a part of the league in 2024). The Cowboys have yet to land a QB for the cycle.
