Kenny Gajewski continues to load up from the transfer portal.
New Mexico transfer shortstop Rachael Hathoot announced Sunday that she committed to Oklahoma State for her final year of eligibility. Hathoot is the Cowgirls’ fourth commit out of the transfer portal so far this offseason.

Hathoot was a two-time Mountain West All-Conference First Team selection at New Mexico. She received First Team honors in 2023 and 2024, becoming only the third Lobo to earn all-conference honors twice.
This past season, Hathoot started every game for New Mexico at shortstop. She has actually started every game of career so far with 176 games under her belt. During that time, Hathoot has recorded 178 hits, 30 doubles, 10 triples, 10 home runs, 75 RBIs and 20 stolen bases.
Although she has only 10 long balls in her career, Hathoot excels at getting on base with a team-best .382 batting average this past season. At one point this season, she reached base in 27 straight games. She also put together a 17-game hitting streak. Hathoot had 66 hits and 37 runs scored to go along with her .382 batting average this season, leading the Lobos in every stat.
Hathoot was the second position player to commit to OSU from the portal, joining NC State catcher Amanda Hasler. The Cowgirls also added a pair of pitchers in Baylor’s RyLee Crandall and Ruby Meylan from Washington.
