Oklahoma State Media Appearances

Oklahoma State basketball and wrestling media availability should take place at some point early in the week.

Contribution Updates

We are currently at 320 contributors. Our immediate goal is to get to 500 contributors with bigger plans beyond that. We’re trending in the wrong direction, though! I can’t emphasize enough how helpful this is to our site to give us breathing room in terms of resources to put towards coverage. Thank you to those of you who have signed up, and I encourage those of you who haven’t (but enjoy our coverage) to do so.

Also, I noticed yet another site going to this model this week. It will be interesting to look back on this moment in time, say, 10 years from now to see if it was just another fad or something that truly caught on and allowed the best media sites to thrive. I’m (literally) betting on and hoping for the latter, but only time will tell.

Site/Staff Updates

We have a baseball roster and schedule up on the homepage thanks to some strong work from our intern Jacob Overton. You can comment below on what you’d like to see or email us at pistolsfiringblog at gmail dot com.

Site Growth

Pageviews through Feb. 25, 2018: 2.0M
Pageviews through Feb. 25, 2017: 2.2M
Most popular post of February: Hawaii starting QB transfers to OSU
Most popular post of 2018: Spencer out as DC

Twitter followers: 36,400
Facebook likes: 23,490

One of our goals for 2018 is to top 20 million pageviews. Last year we had just over 14 million so that’s going to be a chore, especially if men’s basketball fails to make the NCAA Tournament.
