Report: Cade Cunningham Sets Official Visits, Starting with Oklahoma State
The top-rated guard in the 2020 class takes the next step in his recruitment process.
If Oklahoma State fans needed a reason to go to the McNeese State game, here is one.
Cade Cunningham will be in Stillwater on Sept. 7, on his official visit, the first of the five he has scheduled. Rivals’ Corey Evans reports that Cunningham, the second-ranked recruit in the 2020 class, has scheduled his official visits with the intent to sign in the fall.
The other five schools that will host the five-star, 6-foot-7 point guard this fall are North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky and Washington.
School | Date |
---|---|
Oklahoma State | Sept. 7 |
North Carolina | Sept. 27 |
Florida | Oct. 5 |
Kentucky | Oct. 13 |
Washington | Oct. 20 |
Here are some things to note on those dates: North Carolina hosts its Late Night With Roy the weekend of Sept. 27. It’s what OSU does with its Homecoming and Hoops.
There will be similar festivities taking place when Cunningham visits Coach Calipari at Kentucky, as the Wildcats will do their Big Blue Madness.
The outside has seen Oklahoma State as the leader to land Cunningham’s commitment since his brother, Cannen, was hired on Mike Boynton’s staff July 25. Cunningham has told everyone who will listen his recruitment is still open despite his brother’s hire, but it still seems to many that those other four schools are competing against Boynton and OSU.
